From Class Project to
Multi-Generation Business
The Doyle family has been managing Michigan forests since 1957, when John Doyle launched a logging operation as his Future Farmers of America senior project. Since then, the company has grown immensely through industry-leading mechanization and professional practices.
When John retired in 2010, his son Joe Doyle purchased the forestry assets.
Doyle Forest Products now focuses on sustainable logging, while Doyle Land Management provides an avenue for other services like site prep, forestry mulching, and road/trail making. Today, the company is led by Joe and his wife, Christine, with their son, Jesse, also working in the operation and continuing the family legacy of carefully managing Michigan forests.
Rooted in Community
As a locally owned, family-run business, we feel deeply connected to the communities we serve. Over the years, we’ve been grateful for opportunities to have an impact, like delivering the State Christmas Tree to the Capitol in 2022, and humbled to receive recognition such as the Friend of the Forest Award from the Mecosta and Osceola-Lake Conservation Districts.

Meet Our Team
CHRISTINE & JOE
Since 2010, Joe Doyle has led Doyle Forest Products and Doyle Land Management, carrying on his family’s tradition of sustainable forestry. His wife, Christine, joined in 2016 to manage the business operations, bringing years of experience in administration. Together with their son, Jesse, they continue the Doyle family legacy of responsibly managing Michigan's forests. Outside of work, Joe and Christine enjoy time with their four children and five grandchildren, along with boating, camping, and family activities.
DENNIS
Hello, I’m Dennis and I’m a Log Truck driver. I’ve been with Doyle Forest
Products since October 2024.
I got into Logging because I like this work and enjoy being outside. When I’m not working, I’ll be outsideplaying with my wife and sons, or out riding toys on State Land.
JESSE
Hi, I’m Jesse. After graduating high school in 2022, I joined Doyle
Forest Products and have spent the
last four years here. My specialties include Welding, Fabricating, Forestry Mulching and Fleet Maintenance. In
my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, and bettering Wildlife habitat.
MARY
Greetings, I’m Mary. My family’s roots in Mecosta County go back to 1959, though I grew up near Detroit. I discovered my love for the woods on weekends and during family vacations. I moved here a few years ago and, in 2024, joined Doyle Forest Products as Office Assistant. Since then, I’ve learned how logging helps forests stay healthy I am a tree lover from way back but now have a deeper understanding of the industry. Outside of work, I enjoy theater, spending time with my partner, son, and dogs, as well as kayaking on the Muskegon River.
TYLER
My name is Tyler. I’ve lived here all my life and grew up in the Reed City area.
I went to school at Pine River and Ferris State University, where I went into Computer Science to earn my A+ Certification along with my Net+. I then decided to join the Logging Industry to spend more time in the woods. I started with Doyle Forest Products in March of 2025 as a Skidder Operator – I love my job! I also love hunting, fishing, and being out in the woods.
ROBERT
My name is Robert. I grew up in
Michigan. I have been a Skidder
Operator at Doyle Forest Products for
seven years.
JEFF
I’m Jeff, and I grew up in this area. I have driven Truck for 34 years, and I’ve have worked with Doyle Forest Products for over 20 years. During my time with Doyle, I have driven Log Trucks, and run Forest Equipment including Slashers, Feller Bunchers, and Skidders. In my spare time, I like hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
MATT
I’m Matt. I've been with Doyle Equipment/Doyle Forest Products
since 1994. Currently I'm a Mechanic both in the shop and on the road. I was born and raised in the area,
my family being Pioneer Settlers of
both Lake County and Osceola
County. I enjoy playing guitar, riding Harley Davidsons, spending time with family, and I am a Proud Army veteran.
RON
I’m Ron and I’ve worked with Doyle Forest Products for four years as a Truck Driver. I enjoy working
outdoors.
