"As Club Secretary at Buck & Brush Hunt Club in Hersey, it has been my job to manage timber harvest on the 1,205 acres of the Club's forest land. Doyle Forest Products has cut portions of the property about 6 times. Joe Doyle gives solid advice and follow through on the harvest prescription and the job agreed to.  Joe and I cruise the area together, determine how it should be cut for optimal benefits, and mark the boundaries. There have been times that we needed a little added something such as a large rock moved, a stump removed, or even rerouting a road to fit our needs. They are always willing to take the extra step and handle those requests for us. DFP meets our goals and makes sure the property is properly groomed for wildlife, which makes our harvests a little different than a straight logging job. When the jobs are complete, the wood chips are dispersed and the landings are cleared out so we can add food plots in those spaces. DFP cleans the roads where the timber was cut, and Joe smooths the trucking roads over. I like working with Joe and his crew, they ask for input on how we think things are progressing and they are attentive to our requests. "

I met Joe Doyle of Doyle Forest Products the summer before the project started. We rode around my 90 acres, and made a plan for cutting 30 acres. Joe was excellent and I found him to have a great attitude. He explained the benefits to the wildlife and tress on my property.  I have a friend who manages forests, and after hearing Joe’s advice he told me, “This is the first time I ever saw a Timberman doing what the property and the landowner needed”. I knew for certain Joe Doyle was the man for the job!

I watched the crew get started. They were careful and respectful of the property and didn’t ravage the grounds. They were friendly, helpful, and always took time to talk to me. I asked them to take care of a couple of things right near the cabin, and they did so with enthusiasm. DFP redefined my roads and trails and cleared a place for me to put a food plot. When the job was finished, DFP cleaned up the debris and left the land in great shape.

My wife and I bought the property for the trees, so when I pulled in after cutting, I said, “Where’s my trees!”  I felt shocked at first. As the summer came and went, I saw the new growth starting, and that feeling went away.  I know in five years, it will be full and healthy, and I won’t be missing the trees.  DFP also cut the 160 acres next door. I watched the work and saw the same results.  With DFP, it wasn’t just about the financial - DFP really cares about what is best for the animals and the trees. We already have a plant for the next cutting in eight – ten years.  I am happy beyond my expectations.

"Over the years, I’ve seen other companies cut trees but was never satisfied with their results.  They left all the treetops and debris behind for the landowner to clean up, and they didn’t restore the trails - they just cut trees down. "During the pandemic, I hired Doyle Forest Products to clear cut 25 to 30 acres of land. The crew came on site within a couple of days of Joe Doyle and I discussing the job. The crew was careful and respectful and minimized damage, especially at the landing area. They had fencing and a small swamp to work around, and there was no harm done. They were clean and professional, and left about 20 trees behind for shading. This job took a bit longer than it normally would have, due to the pandemic restrictions, but that was understood when we started. After finishing, there were some wood chips and bark left behind, but I was overall very happy with the result. The trees left standing are now healthy and strong."

“I began working with Joe Doyle about 6 years ago. I have three parcels that I needed cut – a 100-acre, a 40-acre, and a 9-acre parcel.
